We’re a fast-moving team in the rapidly growing virtual events industry, and we’re looking for a Growth and Marketing Lead to lead our next phase of expansion.

 

About this role

As Growth and Marketing Lead at HeySummit your job is to own our entire growth funnel from driving traffic through to optimizing conversions and increasing revenue, retention and referrals.

 

Please note: this role involves both strategy and execution. This is a role for doers who want to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty.
 

  • You’ll have significant freedom to move fast, test things out and find channels that work
  • You’ll have the flexibility to build your own team over the next 18 months
  • You will be responsible for setting targets for each stage in the funnel and managing budgets against those targets

 

You’ll be given all the support and resources you need to achieve this growth:

  • You’ll have a budget for both acquisition and running experiments
  • We have an email list of over 3 million event attendees we’ve barely tapped into

 

Job Requirements

 

You will

  • Lead our growth and revenue generation efforts from the earliest stages
  • Focus on activation, identifying and scaling efficient and effective channels
  • Improve the LTV of our customers through implementing activation and retention strategies
  • Build cross channel measurement frameworks to identify the optimal deployment of marketing budget on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
  • Create and manage your own Key Performance Indicators


 

You are

  • Proactive and creative - you work by performing experiments across channels, tactics and product areas to drive key metrics
  • Data-driven, but you have a bias towards action and using your gut when data isn't available. You love A/B testing, content creation, community development and using modern tools to drive inbound interest

 

You must have

  • A proven track record of planning and executing growth initiatives at early-stage startups within a small team or even solo
  • At least 4 years of experience in growth roles at software startups
  • A “get it done” execution-focused approach to your work, rather than getting stuck in analysis paralysis

 

You (ideally) have

  • An experimentation mindset
  • Served our target market - content creators, bloggers and those who sell courses, digital products and services
  • Started your own business or side hustle in the past
